The Early Development Instrument (EDI) is a tool that helps measure a community's health by seeing how ready its children are for Kindergarten. In 2013 and 2016, the City of Pasadena came together with the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD), and the UCLA Center for the Study of Healthier Children and Families, to find out how well children ages 0-5 were doing using the EDI.
