Local School Resources

Every student deserves to learn in a place where they are safe, respected, and empowered to be their authentic selves.

 

We support parents, educators, and communities with resources that help local schools foster inclusive, welcoming environments—where all young people can grow, connect, and thrive.

PUSD Parent & Community Groups

African American Parent Council (AAPC)

  • A coalition advocating for PUSD's African-American families, promoting cultural acceptance, and working to ensure quality education for all students.

Community Advisory Committee (CAC)

  • Advises on special education planning, recommends priorities, assists with parent education, and supports students with exceptional needs.

District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC)

  • Discusses English Learner programs and advises the district on supporting multilingual students. Meetings are generally held on the third Monday of most months.

Foster Youth Council (FYC)

  • A collaborative body advocating for students in foster care, providing tools and skills to help them integrate and succeed in the school community.

LCAP Parent Advisory Committee

  • Reviews and comments on the district's Local Control Accountability Plan as mandated by state law. Members serve three-year terms.

Pasadena Educational Foundation (PEF)

  • Builds community partnerships to support PUSD schools, providing essential resources and enrichment opportunities to every public school student in Altadena, Pasadena, and Sierra Madre.

Pasadena Educational Network (PEN)

  • Provides unbiased information and parent education programs to help families explore PUSD schools and engage with the district. Promotes culturally, socio-economically, and racially diverse education.

PTA Council of PUSD

  • Parent group for all PTA units in the district, providing volunteer service, leadership training, and serving as a voice for PUSD PTA members.

  • Comprehensive district and individual school reports for the 2024 school year.
