Our Story

2000-2014

Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD), Invest in PUSD Kids program, and the Pasadena Education Network (PEN) lay groundwork for community collaboration

Our Team

G Albert (they/them)

G Albert (they/them) holds an MFA in Studio Art and an MA in Organizational Leadership & Management. With decades of community service experience, G began their work in environmental and public health initiatives in the 1980s and has focused on education, community empowerment, and social justice. While leading a tech team in the entertainment industry for 20 years, G volunteered in Pasadena, advocating for educational equity and serving in leadership roles in parent-teacher associations. In 2019, they joined Pacific Oaks College Center for Community & Social Impact as a Community Engagement Specialist, later becoming Director of CCSI, and led the Collaborate PASadena initiative, which grew into a fiscally sponsored project under Community Initiatives.
